Cooperation Protocol between İTÜ and ETİ Maden

A cooperation protocol was signed between Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) and Eti Maden Operations General Directorate (ETİMADEN). With the protocol, the two institutions will realize projects for identifying and evaluating the country’s resources and needs.

The signing ceremony held at İTÜ Rectorate was attended by İTÜ Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu, Eti Maden General Manager and Chairman of the Board Serkan Keleşer and representatives from both institutions.

The protocol aims at collaboration in the field of R&D and organization of scientific activities and trainings for the sector.

The topics of technical consultancy, study, project and application within the scope of the protocol include “Environment and Solid-Liquid Waste Management, Energy Efficiency, Process Design and Optimization, Production of Advanced Technology Boron Compounds, Increasing the Usage Areas of Boron Products, Acquisition of Valuable Elements in the Fields Belonging to ETİMADEN”.
