İTÜ Faculty of Science and Letters faculty members Prof. Dr. Yusuf Yağcı and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Barış Kışkan’s works featured in the most popular articles list selected from among all articles published in UK Royal Society of Chemistry’s “Polymer Chemistry” journal in 2020.

“Polymer Chemistry”, which is one of UK Royal Society of Chemistry’s major journals of polymer science, put the article by our Chemistry Department faculty member Prof. Dr. Yusuf Yağcı in the first place in the most popular articles list selected from among all articles published in 2020 by considering criteria such as citations and the number of times the articles were read.

 İTÜ Faculty of Science and Letters, Chemistry Department faculty member Prof. Dr. Yusuf Yağcı’s article “Photoinduced free radical promoted cationic polymerization 40 years after its discovery” published in Polymer Chemistry journal was considered as the most popular article published in the journal in 2020.

 Additionally, “Cyanuric chloride as a potent catalyst for the reduction of curing temperature of benzoxazines” published by Faculty of Science and Letters, Chemistry Department faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Barış Kışkan and Prof. Dr. Yusuf Yağcı also entered the list.

 The evaluation was made from among all articles published in the journal during 2020 based on citations, the number of full-text downloads and the article’s presence online through social media or on news outlets.
