Support from TÜBİTAK to 4 Mucilage-Related Projects of Our University
Results of the scientific evaluation of projects proposed within the framework of TÜBİTAK 1001 – “Mucilage Research Special Call” by TÜBİTAK Research Funding Program Directorate (ARDEB) were announced. As a result of the scientific evaluation, 4 projects prepared by Istanbul Technical University (ITU) academics are granted support.

157 project proposals within the framework of “Mucilage Research Special Call” of “1001 – Scientific and Technological Projects Funding Program” were subjected to scientific evaluation and as a result of the evaluation it was decided to support 37 projects. Four of the approved 37 projects are those prepared and submitted by ITU academics.
In the 1001 ARDEB funding program, which aims to support projects that comply with scientific principles in order to produce new information, make scientific interpretation or solve technological problems, the following projects of ITU were granted support as a result of the scientific evaluation:
The project titled “Socioeconomic Effects of Mucilage on Ship Machinery Systems and Risk Analysis Evaluation” to be carried out by Prof. Dr. Yasin Arslanoğlu from Maritime Faculty; the project titled “Establishing the Infrastructure of the Pollution Tracking System Specific to the Sea of Marmara Using Information Technologies” to be carried out by Prof. Dr. Nebiye Musaoğlu from Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Geomatic Engineering; the project titled “Application of Innovative Treatment Technologies with Small Space in the Struggle with Mucilage and Water Recovery” to be carried out by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hale Özgün Erşahin from Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Environmental Engineering; and the project titled “Investigation of Innovative Hybrid Membrane Bioreactor (If-Mbr) Treatment Technology for Pollution Load Reduction in Wastewaters” to be carried out by Asst. Prof. Dr. Türker Türken from Faculty of Civil Engineering, Department of Environmental Engineering will benefit from TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1001 – Scientific and Technological Research Projects Funding Program.

Evaluation reports for the projects that are supported/rejected can be accessed from the address http://pys.tubitak.gov.tr in one week at the latest.
Project proposal owners whose projects are to be supported must fill in the TÜBİTAK Budget Table (according to the budget requested in the project proposal) within one week after receiving the evaluation report and upload it to the system at http://pys.tubitak.gov.tr.
