ITU Ranks Second in the Most Cited Scientists List

According to the international ranking agency Alper-Doger (AD) Scientific Index, ITU became one of the universities with the highest number of academics in 2022 “Turkey’s Top 10,000 Scientists” list.

2022 “Turkey’s Top 10,000 Scientists” list was announced according to the international ranking agency Alper-Doger (AD) Scientific Index. In this list of scientists, Istanbul Technical University (ITU) became one of the universities with the highest number of academics from Turkey.

According to 2022 Alper-Doger Scientific Index which shows the top 10,000 academics who are most cited and with the highest h-index in universities and institutions from Turkey, a ranking and analysis system was created based on the scientific performance and the added value of the scientific productivity of individual scientists. This ranking was created according to the working areas of scientists.

In the study carried out under the coordination of AD World Scientist and University Rankings 2022, 712,000 scientists were included in the evaluation. With 513 academics, ITU ranked second in the list of most influential scientists, and ranked first among state universities. In the world university rankings in which 13,600 universities were evaluated, it ranked 481st.
