Athletes from ITU Received Silver Medal at the Yoga Olympic Games
Athletes from ITU won a silver medal in the 1st Turkey National Yoga Olympic Games 2021 held in Istanbul.

Athletes from ITU won a silver medal in the 1st Turkey National Yoga Olympic Games 2021 held in Istanbul, organized in 210 countries by the International Yoga Olympic Committee (IYOC) and in Turkey by the National Yoga Federation (ULUYOF).
1st Turkey National Yoga Olympic Games, organized with the slogan of peace and unity in the world and in Turkey, is held in eight categories including yoga acrobatic, yoga artistic, yoga asana, yoga athletic, yoga choreography, yoga dance, yoga rhythmic and yoga flow. In addition, players of different age groups can participate in the games, including 4-17 ages girls and boys, 18-49 ages women and men, 50+ ages women and men.
In the 1st Turkey National Yoga Olympic Games, where there were 5,300 participants from all over the world and 150 participants from Turkey, the Turkish Yoga Olympic champions won 24 gold, 18 silver and 17 bronze medals, and Istanbul Technical University Chemical Engineering Department student Orkun Tolun and his teammate 2015 ITU Chemistry Department graduate Vildan Gürbüz were awarded the silver medal in the Yoga Rhythmic category. The medals were presented to the winners by Akif Manaf, President of the International Yoga Federation.
