ITU Career Summit 2022, which traditionally brings together sector representatives, students and new graduates every year and is one of the biggest events of ITU, took place online on March 8-9-10. The summit, whose main sponsor was Turkish Airlines, hosted 97 leading companies from different sectors. The motto of this year’s ICS’22, which was prepared online with an interactive structure in order to respond to the pandemic conditions, the digital age and the expectations of participating companies, was “Touch the Talent”.The summit, which started with the opening speech of our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu, met with intense interest from students and participants from the business world. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Koyuncu expressed the following regarding the goal of the career summit: “We want every ITU student to see job opportunities in their field, gain experience and learn how to make new connections as soon as they step into the school.”
The 8th ITU Career Summit fulfils an important task for ITU students to receive detailed information about internship and career opportunities, to apply for positions suitable for their academic education and skills, and for companies to reach qualified human resources in a short time. Emphasizing this point in his speech, Prof. Dr. Koyuncu said, “Undoubtedly, the participating companies and sponsors have an enormous share in the development of this summit, which brings together more students and companies every year. I would like to thank all companies and sponsors participating at the 8th ITU Career Summit for their support to our young people who will build our future.” Reminding that the opening of the summit coincided with the International Women's Day, Koyuncu said, "It is necessary to emphasize once again the importance of women in scientific studies, business world, entrepreneurship and innovation. We hope that women will have a greater say in these areas with new opportunities. I wish happy March 8, International Women's Day to all of you.”
