2023 data of the world university ranking determined by the world-renowned higher education rating agency QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) has been announced. Obtaining very successful degrees among Turkish universities, ITU was in the range of 701-750 in the world rankings last year, and by raising the level of success, we rose to the 601-650 range in the world rankings in 2023.
The performance of universities is evaluated in eight categories, including academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty-student, international students, international faculty, citations per faculty, international research network, and employment outcomes. Regarding employer reputation, ITU is among the top 180 universities in the world. Also, ITU significantly moved up and ranked 377th place in academic reputation.
Our rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu said, “ITU, one of the oldest established technical universities in the world, owes its success to the future vision in the fields of research and education with 250 years of experience. The main motivation for our rise in world university rankings every year is that we combine the academic experience we have gained from the past with the dynamism of our students, who are our future generations.”
