Best Paper Award to Our Student
ITU Faculty of Electrical and Electronics master’s student Özgür Can Milletsever won the best paper award at IEEE PEMC 2022 with the paper he prepared together with our graduate Dr. Veysel Tutku Büyükdeğirmenci under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Yılmaz.

In the 250th anniversary of its establishment, Istanbul Technical University (ITU) continues to pursue its goal of transforming the future by conducting impact-oriented research with its academics and students. ITU Faculty of Electrical and Electronics master’s student Özgür Can Milletsever was awarded the “Best Paper” award at IEEE PEMC 2022 Congress with the paper he prepared together with our graduate Dr. Veysel Tutku Büyükdeğirmenci under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Yılmaz.
The paper titled “Controller Design of Dual Active Bridge Converter for Electric Vehicle Fast DC Charger Applications” they presented at the 20th IEEE International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference organized by Transylvania University on 25-29 September in Brasov, Romania, won the “Best Paper” award. The study focuses on fast charging of electric vehicles.

About Özgür Can Milletsever
After completing his bachelor’s degree at ITU Electrical Engineering Department, he started his master’s in the same department. He works as an R&D engineer at Elektra Elektronik. He is currently working on his thesis on the analysis and design of topologies and control algorithms used in electric vehicle fast charging systems. His research interests include power electronics circuit design and simulation, automotive mechatronics, electric vehicles, thermal design, grid-tie inverters and power quality.
