ITU Architecture Students’ Success in MimED 2022

ITU Department of Architecture students have achieved a significant success in the 21st Awards for Architecture Students competition. The works of our students won 12 out of 20 awards by leaving their competitors behind in the competition in which 433 projects from 53 different universities participated.

Istanbul Technical University students continue to add new ones to their achievements. ITU students are returning with national and international successes from the competitions they participate in with the projects they have prepared by experiencing 250 years of experience.

433 projects from 53 universities in our country, including ITU, participated in the national 21st Awards for Architecture Students competition organized by the Architecture Education Association. 138 of the projects passed the pre-selection stage and were evaluated by the jury. The projects were meticulously examined by a jury of doyen architects and academics from different universities.

The winners of the 21st Awards for Architecture Students were announced at the colloquium and award ceremony held on 12 December in the conference hall no. 109 of ITU Taşkışla Campus. Success Awards, Encouragement Awards and Jury Special Awards were given to successful projects in four year categories. 5,000 TL was given for Success Award, 3,000 TL for Encouragement Award, and 1,000 TL for Jury Special Award.

ITU Department of Architecture students showed great success by winning 12 of the 20 awards given at the competition. The award-winning projects have been opened to visit on 13 December in an exhibition prepared in corridor no. 203 of Faculty of Architecture in ITU Taşkışla Campus. The exhibition will be open to visit until 12 January 2023.
