Graduation Pride at ITU Maritime Faculty

ITU Maritime Faculty graduation took place with an enthusiastic ceremony held at our Tuzla Campus.

The graduation of Istanbul Technical University Maritime Faculty for the 2022-2023 academic year took place on June 22, 2023 with an enthusiastic ceremony held at our Tuzla Campus. The ceremony, in which 106 students from Department of Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering and Department of Marine Engineering graduated, was attended by Prof. Dr. Özcan Arslan, Dean of ITU Maritime Faculty, Ufuk Teker, Chairman of the Board of ITU Maritime Faculty Alumni Association, Serhat Aytuğel, Deputy Director General of Coastal Safety at the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, and the families of our students. 

Speaking at the ceremony, our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu emphasized that captains, ship owners, engineers, ship operators and academics, who proudly represent our country not only in Türkiye but also in many parts of the world, receive education at Tuzla Campus and the Maritime School: "This year’s graduates have an unforgettable memory. You will also be the 250^th Anniversary graduates of ITU Maritime Faculty and ITU. I congratulate all of you from the heart.”

After the speech of our Rector, our students who graduated from Department of Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering and Department of Marine Engineering were presented their diplomas. In addition, Murat Samet Çuhadar, who ranked first in the Faculty, and other high ranking students were awarded certificates of achievement.
