IEEE Türkiye Research Encouragement Award to Our Academics

Our faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tufan Kumbasar and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Altun were deemed worthy of “IEEE Türkiye Research Encouragement Award” as part of 2023 IEEE Türkiye Science Awards.

The work of Istanbul Technical University (ITU) academics with the aim of redefining engineering is gaining both domestic and global success. Department of Control and Automation Engineering faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tufan Kumbasar and Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Altun won 2023 “IEEE Türkiye Research Encouragement Award”.

IEEE Türkiye Research Encouragement Award is given to scientists who stand out with their outstanding scientific studies in IEEE’s fields of activity, have completed their PhD within the last ten years, have conducted a significant part of their postdoctoral research in Türkiye and reside in Türkiye. ITU academics succeeded in winning two of the three Research Encouragement Awards given as part of 2023 IEEE Türkiye Science Awards.
