International Championship from ITU Autobee Team

ITU Autobee Team made both our school and our country proud by winning the first place in Njord 2023 Autonomous Ship Challenge held in Norway and attended by 7 teams from 6 countries.

As Istanbul Technical University celebrates its 250th anniversary, it continues to gain recognition with its international achievements. ITU Autobee Team, which produces autonomous vehicles in different categories and started to produce surface vehicles last year, participated in Njord 2023 Autonomous Ship Challenge with the second vehicle they produced after coming second in the robotics competition organized by the SSB.

In the challenge attended by 7 teams from Norway, America, Portugal, India, Scotland and Türkiye and consisting of three tasks, our team won the first place by completing two of the “maneuvering and navigation”, “docking” and “collision avoidance” tasks.
