Grant Support from the USA to Our Student’s Project
ITU Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering undergraduate student Uğur Berkay Çalışkan has been awarded the 2023 AP-S Undergraduate Summer Research Scholarship financial support for his project proposal on the dielectric properties of body tissues.

As Istanbul Technical University celebrates its 250th anniversary, it continues to gain recognition in the international arena with successful projects. Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S) of the USA-based Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) announced that it will grant support to students working in the field of antenna-related systems and applications under the 2023 AP-S Undergraduate Summer Research Scholarship Program.
In order to receive the 2023 AP-S Undergraduate Summer Research Scholarship grant support, many applications were made to the program from various universities around the world. 59 projects that met the criteria were evaluated by a committee of academics specialized in their fields, and at the end of a four-month process, it was decided to provide grant support to 34 projects.
ITU Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering undergraduate student Uğur Berkay Çalışkan’s project proposal titled “Temperature-Dependent Dielectric Properties of Tissue Mimicking Materials” prepared under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuba Yılmaz Abdolsaheb and Asst. Prof. Dr. Cemanur Aydınalp became one of the 34 projects that were awarded the 2023 AP-S grant.
