James Dyson Award, a sustainability-oriented engineering competition that encourages the creation of concrete projects to solve environmental and health problems, found its winners this year as well.
Suat Batuhan Esirger, our graduate from Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Architecture, Architectural Design Computing master’s program, won the national winner prize with his “Forestguard 2.0” project, which he developed by improving the “Forestguard” project, which won the national runner up prize in the same competition last year.
“Forestguard 2.0” will detect fire threat rapidly
The project designed by Esirger allows the detection of fire threat rapidly with AI-integrated gas classification and notifies authorities about the situation.
“Forestguard 2.0”, which is a satellite-connected and IoT-based sensor system, aims to save time for authorities during fire intervention moments when even seconds are very important.
We congratulate our graduate and wish him continued success.
