ITU Hosts NASA Astronaut

NASA astronaut Dorothy Metcalf-Lindenburger will share her space experiences as an astronaut at the seminar to be held by ITU Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center on October 6, 2023.

Istanbul Technical University continues to attract attention in the 250th anniversary of its foundation with qualified seminars where expert guests share their experiences in their fields. At the seminar organized by ITU Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics, NASA astronaut Dorothy Metcalf-Lindenburger will meet with Turkish audiences.

Astronaut Lindenburger, who served on active duty at NASA between 2006 and 2014, was a “mission specialist” aboard the shuttle Discovery, which carried out the STS-131 flight, a resupply mission to the International Space Station in 2010, and was a part of the 15-day space flight.

The seminar, where Lindenburger will share her inspiring experiences and space observations, will take place on October 6, 2023, between 14.30-16.00 at the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center.
