ITU continues to rise in THE World University Rankings 2024

Standing out with its high-quality education and global vision, ITU increased its success in THE World University Rankings 2024 and rose to the 501-600 range.

Times Higher Education (THE), which has a global reputation in the field of academic rating, announced the results of its “World University Rankings” for 2024.

ITU continued its success in the ranking among world universities in the list prepared by Times Higher Education (THE) based on its qualifications in the fields of teaching, research, citations, international outlook and knowledge transfer.

ITU continues its ascent 

ITU, which was in the 801-1000 range in THE World University Rankings in 2021, rose to the 601-800 range in the general rankings between 2022 and 2023. In the 2024 rankings, it showed great success and continued its steady rise, ranking in the 501-600 range worldwide, despite the increase in the number of universities evaluated. ITU also rose to the 4th place in the rankings among universities in Türkiye this year, while it was in the 5-7 range last year.

Istanbul Technical University continues to increase its score every year since 2021 in the ranking where currently 2673 universities from all over the world are evaluated. ITU, which had 30.1 points in THE World University Rankings in 2021, appeared in the rankings with 37.9 points in 2022 and 39.2 points in 2023. In 2024, it showed great success and increased its score to 45.3.

ITU ranks 182nd in the world in university-industry cooperation

Istanbul Technical University also managed to achieve significant rankings in various fields announced by THE. While it ranked 182nd in the world in university-industry cooperation, it ranked 311th in the field of research environment and 435th in the field of teaching. Although the number of universities evaluated in THE World University Rankings increases every year, ITU maintains its steady rise.
