ITU Continues Its Rise Among CoHE Research Universities

ITU increased its score compared to the previous year and ranked second among state universities according to the 2022 Performance Ranking of Research Universities announced by CoHE.

Istanbul Technical University (ITU) continues to achieve successful results with the aim of conducting impact-oriented research within the scope of its vision of “Transforming the Future.” ITU ranked fourth in the ranking made by CoHE within the scope of the “Research-Oriented Mission Differentiation Program” according to the 2022 results and second among state universities.

ITU’s total score increased

Our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu and our Vice-Rectors attended the Research Universities Annual Evaluation Meeting hosted by Ege University on November 21, 2023. In the 2022 Performance Ranking of Research Universities announced by CoHE at the meeting, our university’s total score increased from 68.63 to 74.13 compared to last year.

In the 2022 Performance Ranking of Research Universities, universities were scored under the headings of capacity, quality, and cooperation. ITU received 27.75 points in capacity, 27.18 points in quality, and 13.70 points in collaboration.
