“The culture of being an ITU member is a common denominator that brings us all together.”
After the concert given by ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory (TMSC), our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu made a comprehensive presentation on the events and activities carried out in 2023. He added that 2023 was a year that focused especially on education, research, ranking and sustainability activities, as well as a year full of ITU’s 250th Anniversary Events.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Koyuncu emphasized that 2023 was the 250th anniversary of the establishment of our University, and said the following: “ITU holds a prominent place in the lives of each of us and occupies a large place in our memories… Some of us entered the doors of this school and joined the family when we were only sixteen or seventeen years old, some of us joined the family after undergraduate or graduate education, but could not break away from it… But most importantly, in all these personal memories there is a common denominator for everyone, for all ITU members, even if each of us has completely different stories; the culture in which we come together, meet, and share is the culture of ‘being an ITU member’.”
