Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights and Commercialization Strategies Event from ITU GINOVA

At the Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights and Commercialization Strategies Event held jointly by ITU GINOVA and ITU Projects Office to raise awareness of entrepreneurs, İlay Öziş and Cihat Çetin met with students.

Istanbul Technical University’s entrepreneurship and innovation center, ITU GINOVA, continues to contribute to the field of entrepreneurship by offering students an important educational opportunity. Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights General Management Process and Commercialization Strategies Event, which was held in cooperation with ITU Projects Office and focused on one of the critical matters for entrepreneurs, created a guiding awareness for students and emphasized once again how important entrepreneurship is.

At the event, İlay Öziş, Senior Specialist at the Directorate of Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights (IPR), and Cihat Çetin, Deputy Director of the Commercialization Directorate, from ITU Projects Office informed the participants about the issues that entrepreneurs should consider when patenting their ideas. İlay Öziş and Cihat Çetin made a detailed presentation on the steps to be followed during the entrepreneurship journey, intellectual and industrial property rights, and commercialization strategies.

As part of the program, our students Melih Biçer and Pelin Kaya shared their entrepreneurial experiences about the commercialization process they conducted in cooperation with ITU Projects Office and Windustry company regarding a patent they developed through the student team they are members of.
