Artificial Intelligence Workshop at ITU
“Artificial Intelligence Workshop” held on January 16, 2024 at ITU Gümüşsuyu Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan Campus, Dr. Üzeyir Garih Senate Hall brought together experts to discuss the opportunities provided by artificial intelligence in the field of education.

“Artificial Intelligence Workshop,” organized by Istanbul Technical University and focusing on the impact of artificial intelligence technologies on education and research activities in higher education, brought together expert academics on January 16, 2024 at ITU Gümüşsuyu Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan Campus, Dr. Üzeyir Garih Senate Hall.
At the opening of the workshop, where ideas were shared and assessments were made regarding ITU’s strategy to maintain its pioneering identity in the fields of science and engineering in the field of artificial intelligence as well, our Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfiye Durak Ata emphasized ITU’s visionary activities in this field and underlined the current role of artificial intelligence in the rapid changes taking place in every field of science and technology.
In the sessions that continued throughout the day, it was pointed out that in the near future the entire world will have similar knowledge in the field of higher education and that universities that act in a manner integrated with artificial intelligence tools will make a difference and play a leading role. While the panel included the ideas and opinions of the students, there were also presentations by panelists who are competent in their fields, discussing the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence in higher education, as well as the risks it poses, in the light of statistics based on current data.
