Istanbul Technical University (ITU) continues to organize visionary academic events aimed at developing strategies that will shape the technologies of the future. “Battery Technologies Workshop” held on February 14, 2024 brought together expert academics at ITU Ayazağa Campus, Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center Senate Hall.
In the opening session of the program, which focused on topics such as battery production and recycling processes, as well as battery safety, sustainable and environment-friendly energy systems, our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu emphasized the importance of energy storage tools in today’s world, where digital opportunities and technological devices are developing rapidly, and addressed the participants as follows:
“Being the home of firsts is possible by following technology closely and designing academic meetings that will put forth strategies to build the future. This is actually the main motivation that brings us together in this workshop today. I believe that this workshop, where academic and theoretical ideas will be shared, will play a leading role in the field of battery technologies in today’s world, where the issues of how to make the most efficient and environmentally friendly production are frequently expressed.”
In the event, where ideas were shared about the current opportunities and risks brought by battery technologies, there were presentations focusing on current scientific activities in this field carried out at ITU and the overview of academic publications.
