Visit to ITU from Hamburg University of Technology

On March 13, 2024, ITU and Hamburg University of Technology held an experience sharing meeting focusing on alumni relations and sustainability.

Istanbul Technical University (ITU) continues its activities to strengthen its cooperation with universities around the world in 2024, which it declared as the year of global impact. At the meeting held at Ayazağa Campus Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center on March 13, 2024, ITU and Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) delegations shared their experiences on strategies of communication with alumni and a sustainable alumni network. 

Vera Lindenlaub from TUHH Alumni Relations Office and International Affairs Coordinator Nicole Frei participated in the meeting together with Emel Yılmaz and Aynur Yılmaz from ITU Corporate Relations and Alumni Communication Office and Cüneyt Altındaş from Media and Communication Office on behalf of our university. 

The two delegations exchanged information about which activities and events were carried out in the context of communication with the alumni. In addition, the ongoing activities in international alumni relations and the characteristics of small and large-scale alumni meetings were also discussed at the meeting. 

The TUHH delegation that visited Istanbul Technical University (ITU) expressed their pleasure to see and explore our green campus, which has ranked first in our country and 26th in Europe for seven years in a row. At the end of the meeting, a consensus was reached on strengthening mutual relations.
