Reflections of the National Technology Initiative on Education

“Reflections of the National Technology Initiative on Education” Conference was held at ITU Ayazağa Campus SDCC on June 10, 2024 with the participation of the Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır.

The closing lecture of Istanbul Teacher Academies & Workshops 2023-2024 Academic Year, hosted by Istanbul Technical University and organized by Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education, was held with the participation of the Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır.

The final lecture given by Kacır entitled “Reflections of the National Technology Initiative on Education” brought together participants trained at the academies and workshops at ITU Ayazağa Campus, Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center on June 10, 2024.

“Technology opens the door to new learning methods…”

At the opening of the conference, which focused on the outputs of technological development and production in the field of education, our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu emphasized that ITU offers a qualified educational environment with a rich content to prospective engineers who will design the technologies of the future and said the following:

“As Istanbul Technical University, we introduce our students to the latest simulation units and the most comprehensive laboratory environments throughout their process of educating themselves and discovering their potential. Because, undoubtedly, the merging of education and technology contributes to the development of an efficient and active learning culture both in university education and at all levels of education, starting from primary education.”

Educational opportunities improving with the National Technology Initiative…

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır congratulated Istanbul Technical University for its global achievements in the lists prepared by world-renowned academic ranking agencies such as QS and THE, and pointed out in his speech that technological opportunities facilitate access to learning materials and resources.

Pointing out that Türkiye has become an active producer in many fields with the technological advances it has made in recent years, Kacır drew attention to the relationship of the momentum gained by domestic production with qualified education and trained human resources. The conference, which also included video screenings and a music concert, ended with a visit to the painting exhibition in the foyer area.
