Kickoff Meeting of the Techwell Project Focusing on Technology Addiction was Held
The kickoff meeting of the Technological Wellness for Young People (TechWell) Project, coordinated by ITU and focusing on combating smartphone and technology addiction, was hosted by ITU.

The kickoff meeting of the Technological Wellness for Young People (TechWell) Project, which was entitled to receive European Union funding, was held at ITU Ayazağa Campus, 1773 Technopark Building on Monday, June 24.
Aiming to develop an innovative program with international contributions
Our Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Bülent Güloğlu, who made the opening speech of the meeting, talked about the importance of the project and emphasized that an innovative program will be developed to solve the problem with the studies to be carried out together with partner organizations from Türkiye and abroad.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adnan Veysel Ertemel, the principal investigator of the project, underlined that technology addiction has become an important problem today, especially among young people, and thanked all project partners who will contribute to the solution of the problem.
The meeting ended after the project partners made presentations introducing their institutions and exchanged views on the next steps of the project.
About the TechWell Project
In the project, which will be led by ITU, Paris-Est Créteil Val de Marne University from France, University of Padova from Italy and IASIS from Greece, as well as Istanbul Governorship, Act Know, Yeniden Association and Young Achievement Association from our country are involved as partners.
The project, prepared within the scope of the EU Erasmus + Call for Cooperation Partnerships in the Field of Youth, will try to combat smartphone and technology addiction of young people. The ITU team of the two-year project consists of Prof. Dr. Bülent Güloğlu, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adnan Veysel Ertemel, Lecturer Dr. Alper Yurttaş, Dr. Zehra Atik and Rofaida Benotsmane.
