About the FaiR Fashion project
The FaiR Fashion project is an innovative initiative that addresses environmental and digital transformation in the fashion and textile industry with a gender equality perspective, in line with the European Union’s Green Deal and Digital Education Action Plan. Promoting sustainability, digitalization and inclusivity in the fashion sector, the project aims to support female innovators in particular and equip them with green and digital skills to become leaders of this transformation. Aiming to overcome environmental problems such as the production of 5 million tons of textile waste in Europe each year and social obstacles such as the digital gender gap, FaiR Fashion offers a model that promotes circular economy and sustainable consumption habits.
In this context, the aim of the FaiR Fashion project is to bring female innovators to leadership positions in the future of sustainable fashion. The project aims to encourage diversity and inclusivity at every stage while ensuring that women use digital solutions effectively. Aiming to transform the fashion and textile sector in terms of both environmental sustainability and social equality, this initiative aims to reveal the potential of women in this field by prioritizing the development of digital and green skills.
FaiR Fashion not only responds to environmental and digital challenges, but also creates solutions that support the circular economy by increasing inclusivity in the fashion industry. The project stands out as an important step to empower female innovators who promote sustainability in the fashion industry and position them as future leaders.
The international partnership structure of the project is also designed to support this vision. The project, led by Hochschule Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences (Germany), includes distinguished institutions such as Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), European E-Learning Institute (Denmark), ARI Teknokent (Türkiye) and Momentum Educate + Innovate Marketing Services Limited (Ireland). The strong structure of the consortium provides the scientific, technical and application-oriented support necessary for the project to achieve its goals.
