According to the results of the Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action (MSCA) MSCA-COFUND-2023 call, TÜBİTAK's "Co-Funded Brain Circulation3 (CoCirculation3)" project has been funded the highest possible budget in this call, amounting to 9.5 million Euros, under the "Postdoctoral Fellowships" panel, by the European Commission.
Under the Grant Agreement signed between TÜBİTAK and the European Commission, the CoCirculation3 Project is planned to be implemented starting from June 1, 2025. The project aims to attract 100 highly qualified postdoctoral researchers from abroad to Turkey through three separate calls under the TÜBİTAK BİDEB 2236 Support Program.
Istanbul Technical University (ITU) provided a support letter during the application phase and is one of the universities that can host researchers for this project. Within the scope of the project, researchers with a doctoral degree who will receive TÜBİTAK BİDEB 2236 support will conduct research projects under the supervision of a mentor at our university for 24 months. The research topics must be aligned with the globally critical "Green Deal" goals.
The project has a three-phase call schedule as detailed below for researchers applying from abroad:
Call Period | Opening Date | Closing Date | Number of Researchers to be Funded |
1st Call | September 1, 2025 | December 2025 | 33 |
2nd Call | August 3, 2026 | November 2026 | 33 |
3rd Call | July 1, 2027 | October 2027 | 34 |
With this project, our university continues to strengthen its vision of being a strong host institution for international researchers and contribute to global research goals.
