ITU Leads Türkiye with 28 Ranked Scientific Fields

ITU became the leader with the highest number of scientific fields from Türkiye, with 28 fields, and ranked first in Türkiye in 20 fields in the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) Research Laboratory 2024-2025 World Field Rankings, rising in 12 fields compared to last year.

Istanbul Technical University (ITU) was listed in 28 out of 78 scientific fields in the URAP 2024-2025 world field rankings, thus becoming the university representing Türkiye with the highest number of fields in the ranking.

Among world universities, ITU ranked 59th in "Polymer Science," while in "Water Resources," it rose two places to 134th compared to last year. ITU advanced six places in "Marine Sciences and Technology" to 143rd, rose one place in "Civil Engineering" to 158th, ranked 166th in "Artificial Intelligence," and ranked 209th in "Architecture" worldwide.

ITU ranked first in Türkiye in 20 scientific fields.

Our university also ranked among the top three in Türkiye in "Chemical Sciences," "Energy and Fuels" (Faculty of Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering, Faculty of Science and Letters) and "Environmental Sciences" (Faculty of Civil Engineering).

ITU was the only university from Türkiye listed in "Artificial Intelligence," "Robotics and Intelligent Systems," "Telecommunications," "Marine Sciences and Technology," and "Water Resources" fields.
