Strengthening ITU’s Erasmus+ Network at the First Forum of Rectors of Türkiye and Poland

At the the First Forum of Rectors of Türkiye and Poland, where he was among the keynote speakers, ITU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal discussed the internationalization potential of Turkish higher education and how it can be enhanced through collaborative projects in education and research between Türkiye and Poland. As part of the event, Prof. Dr. Mandal also signed memoranda of understanding between ITU and two Polish universities.

Held on September 22, 2025, and hosted by Gazi University, the First Forum of Rectors of Türkiye and Poland brought together numerous high-level representatives from the academic communities of both countries, under the leadership of the President of the Council of Higher Education (CoHE), Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, and the Polish Minister of Science and Higher Education, Dr. Marcin Kulasek.

As part of the forum, ITU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal addressed how the internationalization potential of Turkish higher education can be strengthened through collaborations between the two countries and through projects to be developed in education and research.

During the panel held within the scope of the forum, where experiences and shared responsibilities were discussed, our Rector Prof. Dr. Mandal met with other rectors of technology-focused universities. He signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with AGH University of Krakow and Cracow University of Technology to enhance ITU’s Erasmus+ network.
