What is the EELISA Career Ambassadors Program, who is it aimed at, and which groups will be most involved?
NY: The EELISA Career Ambassadors Program is designed to accompany students in their transition to the labour market. It provides training, mentoring, and peer-to-peer guidance to help students build career readiness, leadership, and intercultural skills.
IVE: The most actively involved groups are the student ambassadors, their peers who benefit from their guidance, and also the career centres, alumni, and employer partners from across the EELISA Alliance.
What are the roles of Career Ambassadors?
IVE: Career Ambassadors act as peer leaders and liaisons. They provide one-on-one and group career support, organize events and workshops, and promote opportunities from career centres, employers, and alumni.
NY: They also represent the student voice, follow up on industry skill demands, and build a transnational student career community through collaboration across EELISA campuses.
How does the programme create value for all stakeholders?
NY: The programme creates shared value for all parties. Career Ambassadors grow as leaders, gain visibility, and strengthen their professional skills. Their peers benefit from relatable, down-to-earth guidance on jobs and internships.
IVE: Universities expand their career service reach, and alumni and employers meet motivated talent. It’s a collaborative system where everyone contributes and benefits.
How does the selection process work?
IVE: A call for applications is circulated across all EELISA universities. Students submit a CV and an application form. Each institution’s coordinator reviews applications and selects candidates, taking diversity and inclusion into account.
NY: Selected students join an orientation and soft-skills training before officially becoming Career Ambassadors and starting their activities.
How does this programme connect to EELISA’s broader mission?
NY: The program supports EELISA’s vision of a European learning ecosystem that combines academic excellence with societal and labour-market impact.
IVE: It enhances student experience by linking employability and mobility with campus life, connecting students with alumni and industry, and strengthening their European identity. Each ambassador will receive a certificate and may benefit from EELISA mobility opportunities and recognition from industrial partners.
