Important Support to İTÜ Project from Era.Net Rus Plus Collaboration Program
The results of the 3rd Call of ERA.Net RUS PLUS Program that aims broad-based and effective collaboration between Russia and 11 European Union member and associated countries including Turkey in scientific and technological research fields were announced. İTÜ’s project accepted to the program in the field of Nanotechnology was granted support. The project in which seven universities from five countries will work together will be supervised by İTÜ Faculty of Mechanical Engineering faculty member and İTÜ MEMS Research Center Director Prof. Dr. Levent Trabzon.

The results of the 3rd Call of ERA.Net RUS PLUS Program that aims broad-based and effective collaboration between Russia and 11 European Union member and associated countries including Turkey in scientific and technological research fields were announced. Four projects with Turkish partners that applied in the fields of Nanotechnology, Health and Robotics were granted support in this call.
The project titled ‘Synthesis and Applications of a New Class of Carbon Allotrope for Carbyne Film Based Gas Sensor and Biosensor Applications’ supervised by Prof. Dr. Levent Trabzon is an interdisciplinary and multi-national project that involves the participation of several universities.
The partners of the project are Istanbul Technical University and Gebze Technical University from Turkey, Chuvash State University and Western-Caucasus Research Center from Russian Federation, Dresden University of Technology from Germany, Demokritos National Centre for Scientific Research from Greece, and Technical University of Sofia from Bulgaria.
