Visit to ITU from Loughborough University
A meeting focusing on academic cooperation opportunities between Istanbul Technical University and Loughborough University was held on February 1, 2024.

Istanbul Technical University continues to develop its scientific prospects with international academic collaborations in 2024, which it declared as the year of “global impact.” Ece Tanış, Science and Innovation Officer of the British Consulate General in Istanbul, and Dr. Mahdi Mohammapour, Dr. Emrah Demirci and Dr. Nick Morris, faculty members of the UK-based Loughborough University, visited our university on February 1, 2024. During the meeting, issues such as academic cooperation opportunities and experience sharing between the two universities were discussed and steps to reveal the scientific potential of the institutions were elaborated.
The meeting, in which opportunities such as joint research projects and student exchange programs were explored, was attended by Faculty of Chemical-Metallurgical Engineering faculty members Asst. Prof. Dr. Erçin Çağan Duran and Asst. Prof. Dr. Faiz Muhaffel, ARDEK Vice Dean Asst. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Yaşa, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering faculty members Prof. Dr. Bayram Şahin, Prof. Dr. Ersan Üstündağ and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ramazan Murat Tabanlı, as well as representatives of the International Projects Unit of the Projects Office Coordinatorship.
