1773 ITU Technopark was at Demo Day’24 with “Startup Acceleration Program”
Entrepreneurs who successfully completed the “1773 Startup Acceleration Program” organized by 1773 ITU Technopark received their certificates of attendance at the Demo Day’24 event held on February 28, 2024. Investors participating in the event as guests shared their sector experiences with the entrepreneurs.

Istanbul Technical University (ITU) is intensifying its efforts towards entrepreneurship with the vision of transforming the future. Demo Day’24, held at 1773 ITU Technopark on February 28, 2024, brought together entrepreneurs who attended the1773 Startup Acceleration Program with investors. At the panel on “End-to-End Entrepreneurship Ecosystem” held during the event, the investors shared valuable information to guide the entrepreneurs.
1773 ITU Technopark General Manager Prof. Dr. Bülent Güloğlu made the opening speech of Demo Day’24. Prof. Dr. Güloğlu emphasized that as 1773 ITU Technopark, they would like to lead all initiatives from the project stage to the commercialization stage in thematic areas. Prof. Dr. Güloğlu said, “As ITU, we are one of the foremost universities that cooperate with the industry. Demo Day is an important event and will continue in the future,” and thanked the participants.
ITU GINOVA Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adnan Veysel Ertemel pointed out that they were holding the demo of the first startup acceleration program at 1773 ITU Technopark. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ertemel said, “There is an incredible potential in our university, we have very talented students. We believe that successful startups such as unicorns will come out of this program.”
At the “End-to-End Entrepreneurship Ecosystem” panel moderated by Gülsüm Önder from WePlay Ventures; Domino Ventures Managing Director Yağız Karadeniz, Lima Ventures Founder and Managing Partner Ahmet Argun, and Mastra Partners Co-Founder and Managing Partner Dr. Abdurrahman Kılıç met with entrepreneurs. During the seminar, topics such as the importance of early-stage startups, the investment being a means not an end, the importance of the entrepreneur as much as the startup and proper communication, and the importance of differentiation of self and mentoring. Afterwards, the investors answered questions from the entrepreneurs.
10 startups participating in the 1773 Startup Acceleration Program had the opportunity to introduce themselves with their presentations and answered questions from the investors.
At Demo Day’24, certificates of attendance were presented to the startups that successfully completed the 1773 Startup Acceleration Program.
