From Istanbul to Madrid: Handover of the EELISA European University Governing Board Chairmanship

During the “Grand Meetings” held in Madrid on 18–22 May by the EELISA European University, the Chairmanship of the EELISA Governing Board was transferred from ITU to UPM. ITU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal handed over the presidency he had held for six months to UPM Rector Prof. Dr. Óscar García Suárez during an official ceremony.

18 Students from 11 Turkish Universities Participated in the “Bauhaus Open Studios” Program, Coordinated by Our Academics

The Bauhaus Open Studios programme, launched last September under the coordination of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Koray Gelmez, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pelin Efilti, and Res. Asst. Ali Cankat Alan from the Department of Industrial Design at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), and in collaboration with Stiftung Bauhaus Dessau, has been successfully completed.

IUGG Vladimir Keilis-Borok Medal Awarded to Our Alum

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru Bozdağ, who completed both her undergraduate and master’s degrees in Geophysical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), has been awarded the prestigious 2026 IUGG Vladimir Keilis-Borok Medal—one of the most respected honors in the international scientific community.
